AWStats Deprecation
These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting a modern, secure, and efficient hosting platform. By introducing GoAccess and gradually phasing out tools that are no longer actively maintained or widely supported, we can ensure a better long‑term experience for Plesk administrators and end users alike. On Windows systems, Webalizer will continue to remain available and supported. With the release of Plesk Obsidian v18.0.79, AWStats will enter deprecation for new installations. The tool will no longer be included when setting up a new Plesk server.
Webalizer Status
If your workflow relies heavily on AWStats or Webalizer, there is no immediate action needed. Existing installations will continue to function, and alternative tools will remain available depending on your operating system.
- Plesk will not remove Webalizer proactively.
- Instead, it will naturally become unavailable in Plesk for Linux over time as older operating systems reach end-of-life.

What These Changes Mean for You
Webalizer is unavailable on recent Linux distributions that no longer package it (e.g., AlmaLinux 10 and Debian 13). Existing installations of AWStats or Webalizer remain unaffected, but Webalizer is only available for new installations where supported. Because of this: However, if your setup does not heavily depend on these tools, we recommend transitioning your domains to GoAccess to benefit from improved performance and ongoing support. For guidance on enabling or disabling web statistics for a domain in Plesk, see our knowledge base article. However, AWStats will remain available and fully functional on existing servers where it is already installed. This ensures that current users can continue relying on it without disruption.
