Plesk 2025: A Year in Review

Major Product Milestones

Expanded platform support

With the introduction of Sitejet Builder’s AI Website Generator, users can go from idea to live website in minutes with no design or copywriting skills needed, ending blank page anxiety. By simply entering basic business information, the Sitejet generates a responsive, SEO-ready site that can be fully customized and immediately published.

Keeping legacy sites secure with PHP ELS

None of our achievements this year would have been possible without the trust and feedback of our incredible Plesk community. From AI-driven site creation to enhanced security and seamless performance, we focused on delivering tools that empower your businesses to grow faster, safer, and smarter. In 2025, the new HTML Editor, Jodit, officially moved into production, delivering a cleaner, more intuitive editing experience inside Plesk. Finally, we improved how Plesk communicates with you. Notifications are now grouped according to type, possible to mark as a favourite, easier to dismiss, and more actionable, so important messages stand out without overwhelming you or your workflow.

AI-powered website creation, built right into Plesk

With the enhanced Mail Helper, administrators can customize email configuration instructions to match their brand and share them directly with users, even outside of Plesk, leading to fewer support tickets and more self-sufficient customers.  From dependencies to security hardening, installations are now faster, cleaner, and more consistent. A source editor is now available, allowing you to easily switch between windowed and full-size modes, and it’s now possible to insert images through the Jodit editor. Furthermore, the Cut, Copy, and Paste buttons were added to the toolbar, and users can now copy and paste with no loss of formatting.

Security

Accessibility as a standard

This means faster detection of risks, smarter mitigation, and more confidence managing WordPress at scale, without adding manual overhead.

Smarter permission management with restricted mode

For hosting providers, this doesn’t just mean faster project turnarounds, it also means better onboarding, higher conversion rates, and stronger customer retention. You can now offer a modern, AI-powered site builder experience that rivals standalone platforms, without leaving Plesk.

Improved WordPress protection

WP Toolkit took a step closer to users with the launch of its WordPress plugin in version 6.8.0. Vulnerability insights can now be access inside the plugin GUI, and any plugins or themes installed through WordPress are detected instantly, allowing mitigation measures to be applied immediately without waiting for the regular check from WP Toolkit. Not every production site can move to the latest PHP overnight, so we made sure security doesn’t have to wait.

Performance and Innovation

Easier server migrations

In 2025, support was expanded for CloudLinux 9, Windows Server 2025, AlmaLinux 10, and Debian 13, giving you more flexibility to modernize infrastructure, extend server lifecycles, and standardize your environments. This means fewer constraints, smoother upgrades, and a platform that grows with your business.

Better email experiences with Mail Helper

We launched features.plesk.com to give you a more direct voice in shaping Plesk’s future. From submitting ideas to voting on upcoming features, it’s now easier than ever to share your opinions and influence the roadmap. From all of us at Plesk, thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to another year of innovation, collaboration, and success together!

Faster WHMCS deployments with new Installer Extension

Throughout 2025, WP Toolkit Vulnerability Protection received ongoing improvements, strengthening how WordPress sites are monitored and protected. Enhancements to Plesk Migrator now allow key system, mail, admin, and extension settings to move with your data. These improvements mean fewer post-migration fixes, faster transitions, and less downtime when moving to new infrastructure.

Experience

A modern editing experience with Jodit

Now, experience greater stability for legacy projects, fewer emergency migrations, and peace of mind that security stays intact. This year, Restricted Mode gained more granular permission settings, allowing administrators to tailor access precisely to their teams’ roles. From phpMyAdmin and mail controls to critical extensions and system settings, you can now define roles that better reflect your business workflows and customer needs.

Proactive security, inside WordPress

Email setup is one of the most common support pain points. This year, we ensured it was addressed.

Transforming your feedback into action

In line with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), 2025 marked continued progress toward ensuring Plesk meets accessibility requirements across the EU. This work reinforces our commitment to building a platform that’s usable, inclusive, and compliant by design.

A smarter notification system

In 2026, we’re evolving Plesk’s role to deliver growth, intelligence, and automation, with exciting upcoming integrations like:

Looking Ahead to 2026

With TuxCare Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) for PHP, available directly in Plesk Obsidian, you can keep older PHP versions protected through extended security updates that are managed entirely from the Plesk UI.

  • SocialBee for AI-powered social media management
  • NOVA AI App Builder for no-code websites and web apps, fully deployable to Plesk
  • Comet Backup for MSP-grade backup control
  • Support AI Agent through Copilot extension, for Plesk management through a natural-language interface

Thank You for an Incredible 2025

For hosting providers using WHMCS, the new WHMCS Installer Extension turned a traditionally complex setup process into a guided, automated flow. One of our goals this year was to reimagine website creation in Plesk, ensuring it became as easy as possible for our users to create professional websites.
